Guide Dogs of the Desert Receives $10,000 Donation from the CareerBuilder Challenge PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge Sponsored by Myrbetriq® (mirabegron)
LA QUINTA, CALIF. - The PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge winning team of Dusty Knapp of Banning, CA (far right) and Julie Leonard of La Quinta, CA (2nd from right), joined (left to right): John Foster, Desert Classic Charities Board President; Sarah Clapp, executive director of Guide Dogs of the Desert; Barbara Norman, volunteer for Guide Dogs of the Desert; and guide dog Barbie; to recieve a $10,000 check for Guide Dogs of the Desert, on behalf of Astellas Pharma US, Inc. The donation is presented to these dedicated volunteers for winning the PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge sponsored by Myrbetriq® (mirabegron) at the CareerBuilder Challenge golf tournament recently held in La Quinta, CA.
The PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge sponsored by Myrbetriq® (mirabegron) raises funds for charity while recognizing the talent, passion and commitment of the PGA TOUR’s more than 100,000 volunteers, including nearly 1,000 in the Coachella Valley, who have helped the TOUR achieve more than $2.14 billion in charitable giving to date.
The PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge takes place at 16 tournaments during the 2017 PGA TOUR season and builds upon more than $1 million provided by Astellas, the pharmaceutical manufacturer of Myrbetriq® (mirabegron), to tournament charities over the course of the company’s sponsorship with the PGA TOUR.
