The Stadium Course | Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course | La Quinta Country Club

President Eisenhower personally cut the ribbon to open La Quinta Country Club in 1959. It has been a CareerBuilder Challenge (originally the Bob Hope Classic) course since 1964. Named the “Best of the Best Private Golf Course” in the Coachella Valley in 2013, PGA TOUR pros have raved about it, consistently ranking the greens “among the best on Tour”.

PGA WEST, a 2,000-acre golf and lifestyle community with six golf courses, is located in the beautiful greater Palm Springs area and is surrounded by the sculpted panorama of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The CareerBuilder Challenge is played on two of the six courses, the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course and the host course, The Stadium Course designed the legendary Pete Dye.

Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course

La Quinta Country Club is not your typical desert course. It’s described as being a tighter course, well bunkered with mature trees. It requires strategic course management, which is why both pros and amateurs alike favor it. Our fairways have been a virtual walk of fame. The elite of Hollywood, Monarchs, Presidents and The King - Arnold Palmer - have matched their wits and talents with our famous 18 holes. We’ve passed the test of time. Walk the course and be in the presence of others who voted it the “Best Private Golf Course in the Coachella Valley”, awarded by Palm Springs Life magazine.
